Jay Johnson's Half Truths Page 1

Half Truths was my first attempt at a newspaper funnies-style comic strip. It ran from 2004 to 2005 in my college paper and featured Naomi moving back home to Minneapolis and meeting a new cast of characters.

The idea was to base it on actual events and exaggerate them slightly. Much of the dialogue and situations are from real life. The art was inconsistent and deadlines, course work, and a job forced me to phone in a lot of the strips, but they are collected here for continuity and can be considered a "season 5 1/2" of Downfall. Notable are the introductions of Stacy and Art, who would go on to be recurring characters when Downfall resumed. I apologize for the small size and low resolution; sadly, most of the original, larger files have been lost to time and disorganization.
