Here it is, the next chapter of Downfall starts now! As my readers are not idiots, I'm sure this surprises no one, since the I'd been broadcasting it with poll questions, preview art, and strips about changing time, but I hope that I at least pulled off a fairly lame cheat in a fairly decent manner. I'd had this in my head for awhile, and I went back and forth for a long time on whether or not to do it. Ultimately, I decided that the comic had less focus without a main character, and it seemed less personal. I do think the last few years produced some very good strips, they just didn't feel as "right" as the earlier ones to me as the artist. Hence, bringing back a dead character, one of the oldest, most reviled comic stand-bys. Although as a reader, I always have less of a problem with "resets" than outright ressurrections. So sit back and enjoy the hopeful return to a more "classic" Downfall and please, send me your thoughts by email!
