This was mainly a tribute to my love of zombies. I really wanted to work zombie Curt into the strip, but actually having him BE a zombie seemed out of place. So I did settle for a dream sequence, but hopefully the snide line at the end makes up for it. And in case anyone's curious, zombies in Downfall follow the Romero zombie "rules," which I consider official. No speaking, and especially no running! Zombies shamble, dammit!
Okay, got a little distracted, there. I truly had a blast drawing zombie Curt, though, and I hope the enthusiasm shows in the art. I tried to make it very cinimatic. The lightning is a new effect that I was experimenting with. Turned out to be ridiculously easy, and I think the results are decent. This strip also marks the first of a new larger size strip. Hopefully this makes reading the text bubbles easier.
