July 17, 2009. I really wanted to explore that Curt maybe overcompensates a little bit trying to be a good guy. I really wanted to explore this season that maybe, deep down, he's not. He has some issues with self worth, some issues with women. Hopefully I can explore this in a way that will still remain interesting and entertaining.
I actually wanted to desaturate everything except Jess, because to Curt, nothing is warmer than his memories and thoughts of being with her, but I forgot before merging all the layers. Still, I am pretty happy with this one, except panel one could maybe be better. I kind of like Curt expressionlessly and creepily staring ahead in every panel.
I'm using feathered gradients in my coloring more, instead of hand brushing everything, which is improving my coloring time.
